Lady Alchemist Films is an Austin-based, Telly Award-winning production company dedicated to story creation, development, and production, with a focus on stories written by female-identifying creatives. We champion less-explored points of view, aiming to raise awareness, spark empathy, and encourage positive change through the stories we tell.

Lady Alchemist's Creative Director, Chantelle James, is an award-winning writer, director, and producer. Her work has been selected and awarded at festivals around the world, including the Academy Award®-qualifying HollyShorts Film Festival and St Kilda Film Festival. Her feature screenplay Love, Ellie was selected for the 2024 Athena Film Festival Writers Lab and Stowe Story Labs Narrative Lab, and its companion short film, Love, From Ellie, premiered at HollyShorts and received a Telly Award.
